Retail Assistant / Cashier (Full-Time Permanent Position)
The Retail Assistant / Cashier plays a critical role in maintaining the efficiency of daily store operations while ensuring that customers receive a positive and satisfactory shopping experience. Key Duties and Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for carrying out a variety of operational and service-related duties, including but not limited to the following:
1. Cashier Operations and Transaction Management
Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system with accuracy and efficiency
Process customer payments via cash, debit cards, credit cards, and digital platforms
Ensure all transactions are recorded correctly
Handle refunds and product exchanges in accordance with company policies
Maintain accurate cash records and perform daily cash reconciliation
Report discrepancies or issues promptly to the supervisor
2. Customer Service and Interaction
Greet customers in a polite and professional manner
Assist customers in locating products within the store
Provide clear and accurate information regarding products
Respond to customer inquiries in a courteous manner
Maintain a positive and helpful attitude at all times
Address minor customer concerns appropriately
3. Stock Replenishment and Merchandising
Restock shelves and ensure products are displayed neatly and attractively
Monitor product availability and report low stock levels
Check expiry dates and perform proper stock rotation using FIFO principles
Assist in organizing newly delivered goods
Ensure promotional displays are correctly arranged
4. Store Cleanliness and Maintenance
Maintain cleanliness of the store, including the cashier counter, shelves, and storage areas
Ensure that aisles are free from obstructions and hazards
Follow hygiene and safety regulations strictly
Participate in routine cleaning tasks as assigned
5. Operational Support and Team Collaboration
Assist the Store Manager or Supervisor in daily store operations

Salary Structure and Compensation
Monthly Salary Range
SGD 1,800 – SGD 2,700
The salary offered will be determined based on several factors, including:
Assigned working shift

Working Hours and Shift Arrangements
Due to the 24-hour nature of operations, employees will be assigned to one of the following shifts:
Morning Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Night Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Shift assignments are determined by store management based on operational requirements. Employees must be willing to work on a rotating schedule, including weekends and public holidays.
Work Schedule and Employment Terms
Six working days per week
One rest day on a rotational basis
