Successful candidates will be responsible for delivering outstanding guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and service excellence. Whether serving guests in restaurants, lounges, banquet venues, or other dining outlets, you will play an important role in ensuring customer satisfaction and creating memorable dining experiences.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

• Welcome every guest with a warm, friendly, and professional attitude.

 

• Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently while ensuring all guest requests are properly communicated to the kitchen and bar teams.

 

• Serve food and beverages according to the hotel’s service standards while maintaining excellent presentation and attention to detail.

 

• Prepare dining areas before service, including arranging tables, chairs, cutlery, crockery, glassware, condiments, and other dining equipment.

 

• Ensure all restaurant facilities, service stations, and dining areas remain clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout operating hours.

 

• Provide menu recommendations, explain ingredients, promotions, daily specials, and answer guest enquiries confidently.

 

• Assist guests with dietary requirements, allergies, special occasions, and personalized dining requests.

 

• Perform suggestive selling and upselling to maximize guest satisfaction while increasing restaurant revenue.

 

• Handle restaurant reservations, telephone calls, email enquiries, and guest bookings professionally.

 

• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for order processing and billing.

 

• Process cash, credit card, and digital payment transactions while ensuring complete accuracy.

 

• Maintain cash float, reconcile daily transactions, and prepare cashier closing reports at the end of each shift.

 

• Coordinate closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, supervisors, and fellow team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

 

• Follow all food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and workplace health regulations according to company standards.

 

• Report guest feedback, complaints, or operational issues promptly to supervisors and assist in resolving them professionally.

 

• Support supervisors with restaurant administration, inventory checks, stock replenishment, and other operational duties whenever required.

 

• Maintain professional grooming standards and represent the hotel’s brand image at all times.

 

Job Requirements

 

• Minimum Secondary School education. Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Tourism, Business, or related fields will be an advantage.

 

• At least one year of experience in hotels, restaurants, cafés, customer service, or the hospitality industry is preferred.

 

• Fresh graduates with a positive attitude and strong willingness to learn are welcome to apply.

 

• Possess Food Hygiene and Food Safety Certification is an added advantage.

 

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

 

• Fluent in English. Additional languages will be considered an advantage.

 

• Customer-focused with a pleasant personality and professional appearance.

 

• Responsible, reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as within a team.

 

• Able to work rotating shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime when operationally required.

 

• Physically fit and capable of working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
