Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene throughout the supermarket premises while ensuring all assigned areas meet company standards.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
– Sweep, vacuum, and mop supermarket floors regularly
– Clean product display shelves and merchandising racks
– Dust and wipe counters, cabinets, and storage areas
– Clean glass panels, mirrors, windows, and entrance doors
– Maintain cleanliness of cashier counters and checkout areas
– Sanitize shopping trolley handles and shopping baskets
– Disinfect high-touch surfaces to reduce the spread of germs
– Empty rubbish bins and replace garbage bags
– Dispose of waste according to company procedures
– Clean staff rooms, offices, toilets, pantries, and common facilities
– Ensure entrances, exits, and walkways remain clean and safe
– Replenish cleaning chemicals and consumable supplies
– Operate cleaning equipment safely and responsibly
– Follow workplace safety rules at all times
– Report maintenance issues or damaged equipment promptly
– Respond quickly to spills or emergency cleaning situations
– Assist with periodic deep cleaning activities
– Support supervisors with additional cleaning assignments whenever required
– Maintain cleanliness throughout the entire working shift
