Recruit Now Singapore Pte Ltd is currently hiring Warehouse Assistants with a valid Singapore Forklift License on behalf of a well-established logistics and freight forwarding company in Singapore. Work Locations
Successful applicants may be deployed to one of the following warehouse locations depending on business requirements:

Tuas View
Jalan Buroh
Deployment will be based on operational needs and manpower planning.
Working Hours
Tuas West
– Monday to Friday
– 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
– Upon completion of training, employees may occasionally be assigned to the afternoon shift from 4:00 PM to 1:00 AM depending on operational requirements.
Tuas View
– Monday to Friday
– 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM
Jalan Buroh
– 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM
– Alternate weeks require overtime with a 6-day work schedule.
Overtime may be required during peak operational periods, shipment deadlines, inventory exercises, or customer requirements. Overtime compensation will be provided according to company policy.
Job Responsibilities
The Warehouse Assistant plays an important role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations by supporting inbound and outbound logistics activities while maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and inventory accuracy.
Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Material Handling
– Operate forklifts safely and efficiently for loading, unloading, transporting, and stacking cargo.
– Operate various Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including:
– VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) Trucks
– Reach Trucks
– Electric Pallet Jacks
– Electric Pallet Trucks
– Order Pickers (where applicable)
– Transfer goods between receiving, storage, and dispatch areas.
– Arrange products according to warehouse storage plans.
– Stack pallets safely while maximizing storage space.
– Ensure proper handling procedures are followed to prevent product damage.
– Secure loads before transportation within the warehouse.
– Assist with moving oversized or heavy cargo using appropriate equipment.
– Perform manual handling whenever forklift operation is not required.
Receiving Operations
– Receive incoming shipments from suppliers and transport companies.
– Verify quantities against delivery orders, invoices, and packing lists.
– Inspect goods for shortages, defects, or physical damage.
– Report discrepancies immediately to supervisors.
– Label incoming inventory correctly before storage.
– Transfer received goods into designated warehouse locations.
– Maintain proper documentation for inbound shipments.
Outbound Operations
– Pick customer orders accurately according to picking lists.
– Pack products securely to prevent damage during transportation.
– Label cartons and pallets correctly.
– Prepare goods for local distribution and international shipments.
– Perform final verification before dispatch.
– Assist with loading delivery vehicles and shipping containers.
– Ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
Inventory Control
– Participate in daily inventory management activities.
– Perform stock counting and cycle counts.
– Assist during annual stock take exercises.
– Maintain inventory accuracy at all times.
– Record stock movements according to company procedures.
– Report inventory discrepancies promptly.
– Support warehouse supervisors in maintaining organized storage systems.
Container Operations
– Perform container stuffing and unstuffing.
– Load and unload cargo safely.
– Arrange cargo efficiently to maximize container space.
– Secure goods during loading to prevent movement during transportation.
– Follow safe lifting techniques throughout operations.
Warehouse Maintenance
– Keep warehouse clean and organized.
– Follow 5S housekeeping standards.
– Ensure storage locations remain properly labeled.
– Dispose of waste materials according to company procedures.
– Maintain clean working areas at all times.
– Assist in organizing warehouse layout improvements where required.
Safety Responsibilities
Safety is a top priority within warehouse operations.
Employees are expected to:
– Follow all workplace safety rules and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
– Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
– Conduct daily pre-operation inspections on forklifts and warehouse equipment.
– Report equipment defects immediately.
– Report unsafe working conditions or hazards.
– Operate forklifts responsibly within designated speed limits.
– Ensure safe stacking heights and load limits.
– Participate in workplace safety briefings.
– Follow emergency procedures whenever necessary.
– Promote a safe working environment for all employees.
Additional Duties
The Warehouse Assistant may also be required to:
– Assist supervisors with operational projects.
– Support warehouse process improvements.
– Perform ad hoc warehouse duties assigned by management.
– Assist other departments during busy operational periods.
– Participate in warehouse audits when required.
– Support implementation of company operational initiatives.
Requirements
Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
– Valid Singapore Forklift License (Mandatory).
– Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
– Experience operating forklifts is highly preferred.
– Experience operating Reach Trucks, VNA Trucks, Electric Pallet Trucks, or other Material Handling Equipment is an added advantage.
– Basic knowledge of warehouse operations.
– Good understanding of workplace safety procedures.
– Physically fit and able to lift, carry, and move goods.
– Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
– Able to work independently with minimum supervision.
– Good teamwork and communication skills.
– Responsible, reliable, and punctual.
– Willing to work overtime, shifts, weekends, or public holidays whenever operationally required.
– Positive working attitude and willingness to learn.
