Employment Details

 

This position is offered on a 1-year contract, with opportunities for renewal or conversion to a permanent position based on operational requirements and individual performance.

 

Work Schedule

 

– 2 Days On / 2 Days Off

– Day Shift: 8:30 AM – 8:30 PM

– Night Shift: 8:30 PM – 8:30 AM

 

Applicants must be willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overnight shifts.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

As a Baggage Handling Officer, you will be responsible for:

 

– Loading, unloading, sorting, and transferring passenger baggage safely and efficiently.

– Ensuring baggage reaches the correct aircraft and arrival belt on time.

– Monitoring baggage handling operations according to airport procedures and KPIs.

– Updating operational systems and preparing daily operational reports.

– Coordinating with airline staff, ground handling teams, and airport departments.

– Handling special baggage, oversized luggage, and VIP flight requirements.

– Responding to operational disruptions and resolving baggage-related issues promptly.

– Following all airport safety, security, and operational regulations.

– Reporting incidents and assisting in investigations when required.

– Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

– Supporting team members to ensure smooth airport operations throughout every shift.

 

Requirements

 

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

 

– Higher Nitec or equivalent qualification.

– Minimum 2 years of relevant experience preferred.

– Previous airport or airline operations experience is an advantage.

– Class 3 Driving Licence is preferred.

– Able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

– Good communication and interpersonal skills.

– Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

– Responsible, disciplined, and capable of working under pressure.

– Strong teamwork and commitment to operational excellence.
