About the Position

 

The Production Operator / Production Assistant is responsible for supporting daily manufacturing operations, operating production machinery, maintaining production efficiency, ensuring product quality, and complying with all food safety and workplace safety regulations.

 

You will work together with production supervisors, engineers, quality assurance personnel, technicians, and fellow production operators to ensure manufacturing processes are completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards.

Key Responsibilities

 

As a Production Operator / Production Assistant, your daily responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

 

Operate, monitor, and control production machinery according to standard operating procedures.

 

Operate dryer systems and other manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.

 

Prepare production equipment before the start of each production shift.

 

Monitor machine performance to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.

 

Perform routine equipment inspections and identify abnormalities.

 

Carry out quality inspections on raw materials, semi-finished products, and finished products.

 

Ensure products meet company specifications and quality standards.

 

Record production information accurately using production documentation and computer systems.

 

Follow all Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.

 

Maintain excellent hygiene standards throughout the production process.

 

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations at all times.

 

Follow workplace safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment.

 

Clean production machinery, workstations, and surrounding production areas.

 

Assist with machine setup and product changeovers.

 

Support production schedules to achieve daily production targets.

 

Handle raw materials carefully according to company procedures.

 

Transfer materials safely within the production facility.

 

Assist technicians during equipment maintenance when required.

 

Report machine malfunctions, product defects, or safety concerns immediately.

 

Participate in root cause investigations and corrective actions when production issues occur.

 

Assist supervisors in improving production efficiency and reducing waste.

 

Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on productivity, safety, quality, and operational excellence.

 

Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth production flow.

 

Follow all company policies, manufacturing procedures, and operational guidelines.

 

Perform additional production duties assigned by supervisors or management.

 

 

Candidate Requirements

 

Applicants should meet the following qualifications:

 

Minimum one year of working experience in a manufacturing environment.

 

Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceutical, chemical, semiconductor, or related industries is preferred.

 

Candidates with experience operating production machinery will have an advantage.

 

Basic understanding of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) is preferred.

 

Knowledge of food hygiene and workplace safety procedures is an advantage.

 

Willing to work rotating 12-hour day and night shifts.

 

Able to work overtime whenever required.

 

Physically fit to perform production-related duties.

 

Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.

 

Basic computer knowledge for recording production data.

 

Able to communicate effectively in English.

 

Responsible, hardworking, reliable, and willing to learn.

 

Good teamwork and communication skills.

 

Positive working attitude and commitment to workplace safety.
