STUDENT CARE TEACHER / AFTER SCHOOL CARE TEACHER – SINGAPORE

JOB DETAILS
Working Locations:
North, West, East & Central Singapore
Location Convenience:
Centres are conveniently located near MRT stations.
Employment Type:
Full-Time
Working Schedule:
5.5-Day Work Week
Working Hours:
Monday–Friday: 9:30 AM–6:30 PM or 10:15 AM–7:15 PM
Saturday: Half Day
Salary:
SGD 2,600–3,200 per month

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
– Supervise students during after-school care hours
– Ensure the safety and well-being of students
– Guide students with daily homework and assignments
– Assist with spelling, revision and examination preparation
– Conduct educational and enrichment activities
– Provide subject-specific coaching in English, Mathematics or Science
– Prepare lesson plans, worksheets and learning materials
– Conduct assessments to monitor student progress
– Follow learning materials aligned with the MOE syllabus
– Monitor students’ academic performance and development
– Provide feedback to parents regarding students’ progress
– Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning environment
– Encourage students to develop good study habits
– Support daily centre activities and administrative duties
– Work closely with teachers and centre staff
SUBJECT SPECIALIST
Candidates with strong academic knowledge may provide coaching in:
English: Reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, spelling and comprehension.
Mathematics: Mathematical concepts, problem-solving, homework and revision.
Science: Science concepts, worksheets, revision and structured learning activities.
REQUIREMENTS
– Diploma in any discipline
– Education or related qualifications are preferred
– Strong foundation in English, Mathematics or Science
– Good communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong classroom management abilities
– Patient, caring and responsible personality
– Comfortable working with young learners
– Able to work independently and as part of a team
– Good organisational and time-management skills
– Previous teaching, tutoring, enrichment or student-care experience is an advantage
IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate should enjoy working with children and be committed to supporting their academic and personal development.
Candidates should be patient when explaining lessons, confident in managing students and willing to support children with different learning needs.
